Erika Budson

Erika supports teens and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, depression, anxiety and major life transitions such as grief and loss. Her work is rooted in present-moment awareness, self-compassion and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

Raised in Detroit in a multiracial, creative family, Erika is especially attuned to those living in marginalized communities. She creates a safe and empathetic space for clients facing challenges related to identity, discrimination, and belonging and brings a compassionate, non-judgmental presence to her work.

Her approach is informed by her own healing journey and a belief that effective therapy means walking alongside clients with courage and empathy.  Erika offers presence, non-judement and compassion to every person she works with.

  • EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist

  • Trained in Gestalt therapy, herbal medicine and is a certified yoga instructor (Bikram and Sivananda traditions)
